A quiet circle for drawing what's in front of you — a mug, a hand, the corner of the window. Bring a notebook and any pencil. No lessons; no critique.

Slow Reading Hour
A single short passage is read aloud, then read again. Members sit with it for an hour, notice what changes, and talk lightly if they wish.

Postcard Writing Society
A stack of postcards, a pot of pens, and time to write. Members send notes to friends, to strangers on the swap wall, and sometimes to their own future selves.

Cloud Watching Circle
Members claim the window seats, keep a small logbook of the sky, and compare notes on light, weather, and the day's most persuasive cloud.

Overheard Poetry
A circle for people who collect small phrases. Members bring lines they've caught during the week and shape a handful into short, shared poems.
About the community
A cafe that keeps a table for small, patient pastimes.
We opened the room to the circles because the pastimes we love ask for very little: a warm drink, a steady chair, and the company of people who won't rush them. Everything here is welcoming, unhurried, and easy to join mid-way.
There is no sign-up form and no experience needed. Order something from the counter, sit down, and ask which circle is on. If none is meeting, the tables are still yours — bring a book, a pen, or a friend.
